25/04/2023 - 26/04/2023 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
About the course
The ROAR Response to mental health in secondary schools will equip delegates with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to respond as a first line of response to mental distress in young people, as well as some useful resources that delegates can use.
ROAR Secondary covers modules such as an introduction to mental health (which can be used as a whole school awareness session), anxiety, low mood, depression, suicide, parental mental health, adverse childhood experiences, social and emotional development, self harm, eating disorders, adolescent brain development, and behaviour as a form of communication.
Each delegate will be given a comprehensive ROAR Manual with lots of resources they can use when working with young people.
£595 – This can be funded through the DfE grant which can be accessed here – https://www.gov.uk/guidance/senior-mental-health-lead-training. We recommend that interested delegates apply for the grant via the attached link and then sign up to the course.
The course code for DfE funded spaces is: SMHL047
This session will be delivered using Zoom. Once you have been accepted onto the course you will receive details of the Zoom call via email.
